Overview:

Selective eating, the most common type of childhood feeding problem, involves the intake of an extremely limited diet, often excluding entire food groups. Selective eaters often make decisions about food choices based upon appearance rather than taste. A vast amount of research points to the need for repeated taste exposure to promote the development of food preferences. This webinar will discuss interventions designed to help children repeated taste new foods so they can develop preferences for these foods.  The workshop will also review factors that contribute or maintain food selectivity as well as  various components or modifications that can be added to behavioral interventions to increase their effectiveness.
